ACM Workshop on Web Ad Auctions


At the ACM E-Commerce SIG’s annual conference, they’re holding a Workshop on Sponsored Search Advertising (SSA), the formal term for today’s keyword-ad model on the Web. While the agenda is driven by industrial researchers with access to Real Data (TM) and academic economists, we are presenting our own thoughts on a decentralized model for ad auctions and more-exotic payoff models than straight cost-per-click.
