CN Fellow, Rachna Dhamija, spoke recently at the Digital Identity Systems Workshop held at Polytechnic University. This workshop brought together a number of key people working on the digital identity problem, including financial institutions, developers of identity management systems, and researchers exploring new directions in the area. Rachna’s talk was entitled “7 Flaws of Identity Management” (a playful twist on Kim Cameron’s 7 Laws of Identity), focused on the usability and security challenges of recently proposed identity schemes. The talk is based on a journal article, written in collaboration with CN Fellow Lisa Dusseault, to be published later this year. The slides from the talk can be found on the workshop program.
